Hello,
I’m Kate…

The power of
real stories

My career started in local newsrooms, where I spent more than 25 years uncovering and telling stories that mattered to communities.

As a journalist for regional daily newspapers, I learned that the most powerful stories are often the most honest and human ones - about real people doing meaningful work that makes a difference.

This ethos shapes everything I do today. I work with businesses to find and tell their stories, creating connections with the audiences that matter to them.

How I can
support you

Drawing on my journalism background, I bring sharp research skills and clear writing to every project.

My experience covers many sectors - from health and wellbeing to education and technology - giving me the versatility to understand and communicate different types of work.

Since moving into communications and PR in 2017, I've helped organisations and businesses of all sizes build their profile and protect their reputation.

Whether working on day-to-day communications or managing sensitive situations, I focus on practical solutions that work for your business.

Working together

Good communication starts with listening.

When we work together, I take time to understand your organisation, your goals and your challenges.

You'll receive clear, practical advice and support tailored to your needs.

I'm comfortable working independently or alongside your team, and I adapt my approach to suit your organisation.

Clients appreciate my organised, professional style and straightforward manner.

“Kate gives me my time back. As a busy business owner juggling multiple responsibilities, I asked her for help with a few projects.

“One of these was crafting a proposal for a client. She took the time to ask insightful questions, ensuring she fully understood my needs and, in just a few hours, she produced a polished proposal that would have taken me days.

“Kate also dedicated several days to updating product information on my website, when her strong background in journalism shone through in her ability to communicate and organise information effectively. I can't recommend her highly enough.”

Beyond Work

My commitment to clear communication extends beyond my professional work.

As a trained mental health first aider and volunteer befriender with Bristol charity Womankind, I understand how careful listening leads to genuine connections and lasting relationships.

Since 2010, I've also worked with an equine facilitated psychotherapist, helping to run workshops that support people to develop self-awareness and confidence to be their authentic selves.

This experience, along with my love for horses and nature, reinforces my belief in the power of honest and clear communication.
